OUR 5 AM MORNING ROUTINE || MY HUSBAND WALKS ME TO THE TRAIN AT 5AM

Just like you guys requested - here’s our 5 am morning routine vlog! Since Avri no longer attends classes and is now commuting to the hospital for her internship, our day-to-day lives have turned upside down. Avri now has to wake up at 5 am 4 days per week and get to work by 7 am. This is a productive morning routine, come have a productive day with me! We also no longer live in Manhattan or the Bronx but the commute to New York is still pretty easy. Get ready with me (GRWM) this morning, it’s not an easy routine at all. Waking up at 5 am every day can really take a toll on your body but it’s important to keep good habits, get good sleep and eat healthy. Avri is more of a morning person than Simas, but it's still been a struggle. How to wake up early... it's not easy at all. Plus it's not summer anymore, but not yet fall either. This is a day in the life of a student in New York City, commuting and all. This is definitely one of the most exciting 5am morning routines you will see!

Our routine actually starts the night before as Avri starts setting up what she takes to school/work/internship, at the direction of Simas. He’s been commuting for much longer and it’s easy to save time in the morning by doing as much as possible the night before: laying out your clothes, placing keys, wallet, ID and mask in the same place, pre-making your lunch and so on. All that should be left to do is wash up and go. But that’s not how Avri operates... luckily, Avri's husband walks her to the train at 5am, before it's light outside. It's so dark in the morning!

She gets up early, goes right to the shower, brushes her teeth and then starts her beauty processes: edges/hair, face mask, makeup, etc. Simas gets up shortly after, does minimal preparation and is ready to go. This time, he made breakfast for his wife: a cream cheese bagel sandwich.

It was finally time to leave. Living in Jersey City, New Jersey, it’s not the safest city. Simas walks Avri for safety because it’s still dark out that early in the morning and the streets are still pretty empty at that time. We walk together, Simas walks Avri as far as he can and then he rides his scooter back home and goes straight to bed till about 8 am when it’s time for him to go to work.

Overall, commuting from New Jersey to New York is a breeze. It’s easy and quick. Commuting within New York is a different experience but also not very difficult. We moved to this neighborhood to maintain the ease to commute to the city, and so far, it’s worth it.
