‘That’s the gig’: Australians demand government ‘take responsibility’ for inflation
Columnist Justin Smith criticises the Australian government for dodging blame for rising inflation.
“It’s the government's job to take responsibility,” Mr Smith told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“If the inflation figures were wonderful, they’d be screaming it from that flag that sits atop Parliament House.”
“That’s their job. That’s the gig.”
