Benton MacKaye Thru-Hike Ep. 5: Three Days Backpacking in the Wilderness

Hiking through two wilderness areas in Georgia and Tennessee--the Cohutta Wilderness and the Big Frog Wilderness.

On April 9, 2016, I began my thru-hike of the Benton MacKaye Trail at Springer Mountain, Georgia. This is my fifth report.

Only one error that I know of--the "non-stick" rug pad is actually a "non-slip" rug pad. Also, the scene with the trash I found on Big Frog Mountain might be a little ambiguous. I found the trash where I filmed it and carried it out. I thought it was a cigarette package. I didn't realize until later that it was marijuana. The finger-shaking is due to the violation of the "leave no trace" policy. I could care less what people smoke on top of Big Frog Mountain.
