In the Atlantic, an area of interest could develop in the Sargasso Sea this weekend, and meander out at sea for some time. By early next week, a tropical cyclone could form in the Caribbean Sea off the coast of Colombia, with some models depicting a significant hurricane by next weekend.
Other small cyclones could form out at sea in the central or eastern Atlantic.
In the Western Pacific, Tropical Depression Ofel (named by the Philippines) is situated off the coast of Vietnam, and is broadening. Ofel could still develop into a tropical storm before making landfall, and this increase in size may lead to more unneeded rainfall in the area.
In the North Indian Ocean, a tropical depression is located off the western coast of India, in the Arabian Sea. The system is not expected to intensify much but could still deliver some rainfall to Maharashtra.
In the Southwest Indian Ocean, a recent ASCAT pass found significant signs of development on a disturbance that is expected to move towards the west-southwest and is unlikely to affect land.
