The Track of Hurricane David (1979)

Hurricane David was the strongest and deadliest storm of the 1979 Atlantic hurricane season. Originating in the open Atlantic, David was already a Category 4 by the time it reached the Lesser Antilles, blowing through Dominica. David then peaked as a Category 5 shortly before landfall in the Dominican Republic, becoming one of the nation's worst storms.

David continued onto Cuba, the Bahamas, Florida, and then made landfall in Georgia.
