2012 Atlantic Hurricane Season Animation v.3

The 2012 Atlantic hurricane season returns with a graphical facelift after the preliminary animation was completed at the end of November that year, followed by an update in April 2013. This year was the first year of Force Thirteen tracking storms in real-time and producing videos, although no commentary existed until 2013.

2012 featured only two major hurricanes, one of which being Sandy, which burst through the Caribbean before delivering an enormous punch to the United States east coast as it lost tropical characteristics. Hurricane Isaac also struck the Gulf Coast, whilst Nadine never died. Leslie struck Atlantic Canada, whilst Ernesto affected the Yucatan Peninsula.
