“Beyond your skills, the true strength of a soldier will always be rooted in integrity, discipline, and honor,” President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said during the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) ‘Talang Dangal’ Class of 2026 commencement exercises at Fort General Gregorio H. del Pilar in Baguio City.

The ‘Tagapagtanggol ng Lahing Dakila at Marangal’ (Talang Dangal) Class has 207 graduates, comprising 142 males and 65 females. Of the graduates, 76 will join the Philippine Army (PA), 62 will join the Philippine Air Force (PAF), and 69 will join the Philippine Navy (PN).

Initially, the batch included 37,651 applicants from diverse backgrounds, all sharing one vision and goal: to protect and serve the country. Only 1,211 passed the examination. They underwent extensive training and were equipped with relevant skills for modern warfare, with a stronger focus on territorial defense, data analytics, and other specialized fields. 

The Commander-in-Chief reminded the graduates to always uphold the Honor Code taught by the academy: never lie, never cheat, never steal, and never tolerate those who do so.
