Sink cabinets rot so frequently because several plumbing connections are housed in these cabinets, and if they form leaks or drips, as is likely, it may be some days before you notice.

Also, many cabinets these days are made of low-grade particle board, which does not stand up well to moisture penetration.

If a leak forms, your sink cabinet floor may begin to develop rot very quickly! The floor will then begin to sag and lose integrity. Repairing sink cabinets can be extremely pricey, and if you're serious about MOLD GROWTH remediation, you may need to replace large sections of your kitchen.
