Runescape requires no introduction, but for legal reasons, I'm going to anyway. The iconic, formerly browser-based MMO appeals to everyone with its simple yet deep gameplay systems, amazing soundtrack, surprisingly good writing, and generous free content. In this video, I team up with self-described Runescape "player" Josh Strife Hayes, to tackle a number of Runescape's scandals. These range from the infamous Falador massacre, wherein a glitch allowed a number of players to PK outside of the designated areas, allowing them to make off with some expensive swag, to Woox at the Deadman Invitational Tournament, in which legendary player Woox won a PvP tournament without attacking a single player. I also discuss the scandal around Runelite HD, when Jagex blocked a highly-anticipated graphical mod for arbitrary reasons, and finally look into the culture of Venezuelan players selling their services in Runescape.
