Compact VHS Tape Loading

JVC's BR-S822U was an Industrial/Broadcast grade S-VHS deck with the ability to playback and record BOTH Compact VHS (VHS-C) cassettes as well as conventional full size cassettes. A small switch on the front of the deck enabled one or the other cassettes to be loaded, automatically adjusting the internal mechanics to accept either size. This deck and its mechanism was heavy-duty, with impedance rollers and other enhancements including a time-base corrector to maximize the quality of image playback.
