This is a brief overview and introduction to TTPs as psychological tools. How do we calms ourselves down in times of intense anxiety, hypervigilance, or fear? How do we manage irritability or anger? How do we curtail our rapid thoughts and control our tongues before it's too late?
Some suggestions include: deep breathing (doesn't always work for everyone) and has to be practiced and learned before it can be useful "in the moment."
Imagery, utilizing a calm safe/secure place
