Germany: US Army and allies hold "Saber Junction 20" drills at Hohenfels training ground

More than 4,000 soldiers from nine countries took part in the 'Saber Junction 20' military exercise at the US Army's training ground in Hohenfels, Bavaria on Monday.
Held under the auspices of the United States' 7th Army Training Command, the manoeuvres on Monday saw the US Army's 173rd Airborne Brigade practising rapidly moving equipment by sling load.
The multi-national training exercises take place yearly in several locations across Europe. The 2020 edition is due to take place from August 3 to August 27. It will see the participation of troops from Albania, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, Ukraine and the United States.
