4 Reasons To Learn A Handstand | Handstand Benefits

Handstands are such an underrated exercise; yet the benefits of learning them are tremendous.

Handstands improve your balance (making you more stable), build upper body strength (including very strong shoulder joints), build strong wrists, make you better coordinated, and build a super strong core (your core is hard at work stabilizing your body).

Not only all of that, but you are increasing the blood flow to your brain which can improve mental function and increase your sense of focus. Handstands also help to stimulate and detoxify the adrenal glands, which will reduce stress, improve your sex life, and help manage your weight.

Many people give up too soon or simply just think that they can't do them. The handstand is not a basic exercise, it is one that takes progress and time to truly conquer. But you CAN do it. With consistent practice, anything is possible. It may be a long journey, but it will be that much more satisfying when you finally achieve your goal.

Remember, it takes a baby about 12 months of daily conditioning and practice to eventually stand on their own. We are learning to stand again...only this time on our hands.
