The Spatz3 Adjustable Weight Loss Balloon: An Overview

The Spatz3 gastric balloon is the first and only fully adjustable gastric weight loss balloon. Approved by the FDA in October 2021, the Spatz balloon has several potential advantages over current intragastric balloons. These include the ability to down-adjust for balloon intolerance, and up-adjust to boost weight loss. The average weight loss in the US Spatz study was 15% of body weight, the most demonstrated by any gastric balloon to date.
