Have you heard these food English idioms? #shorts #englishlesson

"sweet talk"

"to butter someone up"

If you are speaking to someone in a complementary or nice way, in order to ask for a favor, you are using sweet talk or you are buttering them up.

Kind words can go along way. But if you are just saying nice things in order to get what you want, this is just buttering someone up, or just using sweet talk.

Does it annoy you if people sweet talk you into doing some thing? Or try to butter you up
