I love this phrase for saying that you are focused on a goal.

I love to set goals and reach them. I always have my eye on the ball.

This is a baseball idiom, it means you always are thinking about your goal and you are very focused.

In baseball we tell the batter, the player trying to hit the ball, to keep their eye on the ball, don't lose focus! If the player is looking at the sky or the people in the crowd they will not be successful.
