Rainer Maria Rilke, ‘Archaic Torso of Apollo’ illustrated (+ Auguste Rodin)

"Only when I saw an image of the Miletus torso, I understood what Rilke had seen” (Paul Claes, 1998).The poem (sonnet): “Archaïscher Torso Apollos” (1908) is discussed in conjunction with Rilke's appreciation for the work and ideas of Auguste Rodin.
