Hewing a wooden beam – Țara Moților – Romanian Collection
VLACH ID-number: tran1277ROV0051a.
Description:
Nicolae Toader from Albac village is one of the last Moți who can still hew a wooden beam just with an ax. In the past, this was one of the main occupations of the men from the north-eastern part of Țara Moților, but nowadays it has almost disappeared. In this clip one can see the whole process of hewing a side of a wooden beam.
