The cold case of Wendy Jerome | DNA leads to an arrest over 30 years later

On Thanksgiving day 1984, 14 year-old Wendy Jerome went to deliver a birthday card to a friend’s house. A few hours later, she was found dead. The murder case went cold and unsolved until September of 2020, when a man was arrested. Familial DNA gave reason to believe Timothy Williams, who was 20 years old at the time, killed Wendy. The trial is set to June of 2021, but this may be yet another case solved thanks to the advances of DNA and forensics.
