1) MoneySign Suede
MoneySign Suede, a fast-rising Mexican-American rapper with tens of millions of streams, was slain in a California jail attack at 22.
The rapper, Jaime Brugada Valdez, died Tuesday evening "with injuries consistent with a hit," according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Since January, he had served a 32-month firearms term at Soledad.

2) AKA
On February 10, 2023, AKA was shot and hit to dead. 35 years old was as old as it got for the South African rapper.
The publication of his debut album Altar Ego in 2011 and, more specifically, the single Victory Lap from that album catapulted the rapper to popularity in the early 2010s.

On January 1, 2023, allegedly from an overdose, Gangsta Boo passed away. The rapper barely turned 43 this year.
The rapper joined the legendary Southern rap group Three 6 Mafia at the age of 16, where she met DJ Paul, Koopsta Knicca, Crunchy Black, Lord Infamous, and Juicy J. She had been rapping since she was 14 years old. The rapper collaborated with the band from 1995 (on their debut album Mystic Styles) all the way through 2001 (on their sixth album Choices: The Album). Boo's solo career began in 1998 with the publication of Enquiring Minds and continued with the release of two further albums in 2001 and 2003. The rapper's career, however, would be dominated by her work with other artists such as Eminem, Run the Jewels, and most notably, La Chat, with whom she released her most recent effort, Witch, in 2014.
The untimely loss of the rapper caught everyone off guard at the start of the year. The possibility of foul play was initially considered but is now considered remote.
6)David Jolicoeur
On February 12, 2023, for reasons that have yet to be determined, David Jolicoeur passed away. But for a year, he had been struggling with heart problems.

The rapper, who was 54 years old when he died, had been performing with the legendary Hip-Hop group De La Soul since 1988. Jolicoeur, performing as Trugoy, released nine albums with the band.
In addition to his work with De La Soul, Jolicoeur contributed to the writing and rapping of "Feel Good Inc." by Gorillaz, one of the most recognizable songs of the 2000s. In 2006, the rapper took home the Grammy for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals for the song.

A year before his death, the rapper shared that he had been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and required the use of a LifeVest defibrillator gadget. As a result of these problems, the rapper is no longer able to perform; he was missing from the group's unique performance of rap music at the 65th Grammy Awards.
