Climbing Mt. St. Helens: The Crater Rim & Summit via Worm Flows
This was a one day ascent of Mt. St. Helens, via the Worm Flows route, on March 13, 2021. Mt. St. Helens is a great early season peak to climb for several reasons. If you are a beginner, it is a great peak to gain experience on in the basics of mountaineering. In the winter, the route is covered with lots of ice and snow, which makes for efficient and quick cramponing up the slopes. It is a great trainer for future climbs in the season. There is also no quota during the winter months which makes for easy scheduling; you can go whenever the weather break happens. Enjoy!
