Exploring the Olympic Coast: Shi Shi Beach, Second Beach, and the Elusive Steelhead Trout

This was a weekend trip to the Olympic Coast over President's Day weekend, Feb. 18-20, 2023. We go to visit our friend, Tom. We also go to get in some early season beach hikes along Olympic National Park's wild coastline. For the past 13 years, this type of trip has become an annual event for Sarah, Tom, and I. This year we hiked Shi Shi Beach for our first time, revisited Second Beach, and fished the Bogachiel and Sol Doc Rivers in search of the elusive Steelhead Trout.
