Doctor Who Celebration Advertisement, July 1987 KTCA Channel 2, St. Paul, Minnesota

This is an advertisement for the Doctor Who Celebration which came to the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota on July 12, 1987. This ad was captured on video before a July 1987 airing of a Doctor Who episode on KTCA Channel 2.

The Doctor Who Celebration that came to St. Paul had the distinction of being Sylvester McCoy's very first convention appearance. He had just completed the filming for Delta and the Bannermen, during his first season on the program.

I remember that during this appearance, McCoy didn't even have any photos yet of his Doctor in costume. (Perhaps his costume was a still a "secret" at this point.) He had to autograph generic publicity photos showing him in his regular street clothes.
