FEEL LIKE YOU TAKE TOO MANY PILLS? - Have a Strategy to Safely Reduce Them over Time

Is your "Daily Meds Drawer" filling up alarmingly as you get older? You might be on medication for Obesity, Blood Sugar, Hypertension (blood pressure), Osteoporosis, Heart Disease, Cholesterol, Inflammation, Pain.... long term medications for problems you fear will be with you for life now that you are over a certain age. Most people are! It is very common for a doctor to have put you on Statins, Blood Thinners, Vasodilators, Painkillers, Anti-inflammatories, Steroids, various BP meds and Beta-blockers.... not to mention Aspirin, Metformin and Anxiety pills! You feel like your life is heading downhill and there is nothing you can do about it - after all, your doctor told you these meds are for life!

Well, not necessarily. Most "diseases" that we associate with ageing - lik T2Diabetes, Obesity, Liver Disease, Heart Disease, Alzheimers, Arthritis... - are "Dietary" diseases; and you can't fix a bad diet with medication. These meds are masking the symptoms of a bad diet and unhealthy lifestyle, but will NOT make you better. To make yourself "better", and give yourself a chance at lowering your medication - or stopping it altogether - you need to adopt a healthy lifestyle with the right nutrition, age-appropriate exercise, and management of other aspects of your lifestyle (stress, sleep, smoking, alcohol etc). If you eat a healthy, low-carbohydrate diet, and you exercise sensibly and regularly, you could well improve your weight, fitness, mental health and blood test results to the point that your doctor is happy to lower your drug prescriptions.
