The Cracker Barrel Swing Dance Aerial

:: Danger :: This aerial is extremely dangerous on liftoff. It is possible (and likely) that the first several times the follower goes up to the shoulder she will go straight down into the ground head first -- in such a way that she could definitely die!!! Don't even consider trying this w/o a spotter trained in spotting this aerial. And feel free to email me for a list of spotters in your area that I personally trust. With that caveat, I decided to to post anyway though. This particular piece shows the level of danger our experienced safety team can mitigate in a room full of beginner aerialists.
We call this aerial the cracker barrel. It has a fairly steep learning curve but it's awesome for speeds of about 200BPM either socially or in choreography. It works best if you start front to back (leader in back) where you can get a really springy throw out / pull in entry.
