The Winter Wife | Embracing Slow Living Winter Mornings

Hello and welcome to the Carriage House, a little place to find cozy inspiration for your hearth and home. Today, it's all about embracing slow living, winter mornings, so I'm so glad you're here and have stopped by for a visit. I truly hope you'll enjoy your visit here:)

Applesauce Spice Bread (or muffins)

Ingredients:
1 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour (We use King Arthur Gluten Free)
1 1/2 TSP Baking Powder
1/2 TSP Baking Soda
1/2 TSP Cinnamon
1/2 TSP Ground Allpsice ( I used Apple Pie Seasoning!)
1/4 TSP Salt
2 Large Eggs
1 Cup Packed Light Brown Sugar
1 Stick (1/2 Cup) unsalted butter, melted
1 Cup Applesauce ( or pie filling! ) I used Cherry Pie Filling on this one:)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees and grease pan. Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices and salt in a bowl. Whisk together eggs and brown sugar in a large bowl until combined well, then add butter, a little at a time, whisking until mixture is creamy. Stir in Applesauce (or pie filling) then fold in flour mixture until flour is just moistened. Place in muffin tins or bread pan and bake for about 25 to 30 minutes. (Muffins will take less time to cook compared to a loaf of bread so adjust accordingly! ) Serve Warm:)
