Tux and So Cal Bulldog Rescue need your help,

We are in desperate need of donations to offset a major unexpected medical bill. One of our foster dogs, little man Tux, was playing with the children in his foster home, and through no one’s fault there was a tumble of kids and dogs and poor Tux ended up limping and not wanting to move. He was in a lot of pain and had to be taken to the ER. X-rays revealed that he had a badly broken leg and was going to need extensive surgery to repair the damage. It was going to be very expensive but to do nothing and let Tux try to heal on his own would have been painful and cruel, and the odds were against him healing properly resulting in him possibly losing his leg. So, we agreed to have him rushed in to surgery. How could we not? Tux has already been through so much in his 16 months of life. When we pulled him from the shelter we noted a horrible wound on his eye. We took him to an ophthalmologist who stated that in the past Tux had suffered a severe eye injury which was left untreated and his eye ruptured. Only the fact that he was young and his body was able to quickly form a scar, saved him from losing his eye, but he must have been in a great deal of pain for months. Everyone so far in his life has failed him but SCBR wasn’t going to let him down and we had to do all we could to save his leg.
