This poor puppy. This poor, sweet puppy with her tail between her legs, her face and body a huge mess. She’s been put through the wringer of human evil. Tribal police contacted us while working an active cruelty case involving 21 animals. We pulled three. Makenzyie is one of them, and she’s in very rough shape. We need all hands on deck for this sweet girl.

She came to us severely dehydrated and emaciated, with skin lesions, hair loss, and infection across her entire body. We started her on antibiotics and supplements immediately. Skin scrapes are being driven to the veterinarian right now for testing. Her front legs need splinting to correct the ligament damage from however long she survived like this.

We do not have all the answers yet. The results are not back and the full picture is still coming into focus as we work with all the proper channels to make sure Mackenzyie can recover from the trauma she has faced. What we know is that she is here, she is being cared for, and the owner is facing charges for the horrific crimes they commited against the animals they were supposed to be loving. They did not, in fact, do any loving.
