Buddy’s entire world changed almost overnight. First, his owner was suddenly hospitalized, leaving this sweet boy without the person he knew and loved. A kind family member stepped in immediately, taking Buddy into his own home and desperately trying to find somewhere safe for him to go while his owner received medical care. Then tragedy struck again.

Just days later, the very person trying to help Buddy was involved in a serious motorcycle accident and is now hospitalized as well. Suddenly, Buddy had nobody left. When Animal Control reached out to us about his situation, we knew we had to step in quickly. We immediately rushed to pick him up and bring him safely into our care before this already heartbreaking story became even worse.
Right now, Buddy is understandably terrified. In a matter of days, he has lost his home, his routine, the people he trusted, and every sense of stability he once knew. He is trying to process so many sudden changes all at once, and you can see the confusion and sadness in his eyes. Despite everything, Buddy remains incredibly sweet.
Buddy still needs a full veterinary evaluation, ongoing care, proper nutrition, vaccinations, and support as we help him decompress and begin adjusting to this next chapter of his life. While he is a bit overweight physically, emotionally he is carrying something far heavier—fear, uncertainty, and the loss of everything familiar.
Cases like Buddy’s are especially heartbreaking because nobody intended for him to end up here. Life simply unraveled in the most devastating way possible. And now this sweet boy is depending on strangers to help him feel safe again. We are asking for your help to cover Buddy’s veterinary care, food, supplies, boarding, and daily support while we help him recover emotionally and physically from everything he has endured in such a short period of time.
