How To Get RID Of The Gut (6 Tried & True Tips!)

Are you tired of having that annoying gut? Have you tried to get rid of it, but you aren’t getting the results. Well stick around, and I am going to give you some tips on how to get rid of the gut.

As you get older it is harder to get rid of the gut, and a big reason for that is because of declining testosterone. It happens to everybody, and it makes it harder to get rid of fat and build muscle. Everyone of these tips that I am about to give has a role in helping you get rid of the gut, so make sure to apply all of these tips. Let’s start with Tip #1.

Tip #1… AVOID SUGAR. It is an easy one to cut out of your diet. Try to cut out the soft drinks and fruit juices. Whole fruits are good to have in moderation, so have fruit instead of fruit juices. Another thing to do is MINIMIZE ALCOHOL. You can drink, just try to keep it to a minimum. It’s not just the calories that are messing you up, but is also going to affect your metabolism.

Tip #2… EAT MORE PROTEIN! Protein is the most important macronutrient when it comes to losing weight. If you can cut out 500 calories a day, you can lose a lb. of fat a week. Good sources of protein are eggs, fish, meat, dairy, and many others. Just be careful with eggs and dairy because they have fat. Just watch how much fat you consume because fats aren’t necessarily bad to have.

Tip #3… CUT YOUR CARBS. Bread is huge to cut out, that is an unnecessary card. There are good carbs for you to have! You can have fibrous carbs from your vegetables.

Tip #4… EAT MORE FIBER. Fruit and vegetables have a lot of fiber. Vegetables have so little calories, that you can eat them all day long. The fiber will also make you feel full because they take a little longer to digest. Some cereals are a good source of fiber. Kashi is a great brand of cereal, it is healthy and a good source of fiber and protein.

Tip #5… MORE EXERCISE. You can do cardio or resistance training. Cardio is good, but weight lifting is more important, especially for us guys that are getting older. Resistance training will help you to produce more testosterone. High testosterone helps your body to burn fat as a source of energy.

Tip #6… MORE SLEEP. When you don’t get enough sleep, your body is stressed. When you are stressed, it increases a hormone in your body called cortisol. The more cortisol that is produced, the less testosterone is being produced. I understand sleep is tough, there are many factors. I encourage you to try and prioritize your sleep as much as you can.
