Echo CS-310 Air Filter Design Flaw? or is quality luck of the draw?...

We open the Echo CS-310 chainsaw air filter cover to change it out after running 2 gallons of Echo Red Armor fuel through it. There is an unacceptable amount of fine sawdust on the inside of filter with some on the choke butterfly itself. This filter design with it's clamshell halves, begs to be pressed together very tightly to prevent any small debris from entering the engine.
This requires precision fit molding of the plastic framework of the filter and a very strong and precise positioning of the bail wire, both of which are probably 95 percent effectual.
