Within the continental United States are 39 active volcanoes, which have erupted at some point in the last 10,000 years. Of these, the most recent volcano to produce an eruption was Mount Saint Helens, which erupted from 2004 to 2008. These numerous volcanoes are spread across 10 states, including Colorado, Arizona, California, and Wyoming. This video uses available scientific evidence interspersed with the opinion of a volcanologist to predict the 5 volcanoes within the country most likely to erupt next. Two volcanoes included in this list are Mount Hood and Mount Baker.
