This Week in Volcano News; Mauna Loa and Mount Etna Produce New Eruptions
In Hawaii, a new volcanic eruption began at the Mauna Loa volcano, producing a series of lava flows which risk cutting off a section of route 200. Meanwhile in Italy, a minor volcanic eruption began at the Mount Etna stratovolcano. And, in New Zealand, an unusually large magnitude 5.4 earthquake struck the Taupo supervolcano while it was at a raised alert level of 1. This video will discuss these volcano related news stories, as told and analyzed by a volcanologist.

A special thanks to: Boris Behncke, INGV volcanologist, (@etnaboris on Twitter), for granting me permission to use two of his photos of Etna's latest eruption.
Additional special thanks to: A. Eschenbacher for allowing me to use several of his photos of Mount Erebus in Antarctica.
