heavy leg day GYM VLOG / challenging myself
Hi guys! Been lifting heavy at least 1 every week or two, just for fun, to challenge myself! Hope this inspires any of you to challenge yourself. YOU ARE A LOT STRONGER THAN YOU THINK. Don’t let fear get in the way✨ also be careful lol ILY💘
like I said lifting heavy or heavy weight is different for everyone, this is what I consider a heavy leg day.
another thing, I did not do deadlifts that day, I usually switch off

Resistance band I used:

TIPS/POINTERS
when lifting heavy you want to lower your reps, notice how I’m not doing my usual 15 reps for each set, lol I would die and get hella tired, keep reps low, practice form with light weight first, make sure to make that mind to muscle connection when doing your workouts, ALSO! add band work in between or before your workout so that way your glutes are engaged through out your whole session!)
a good way to build strength is to slowly go up in weight with each set! (By 5lbs or 10lbs) Even if you only get one rep in, THAT STILL COUNTS! And the more you do it the easier it gets and you’ll watch your strength get better over time! The body is an amazing thing, sometimes you also doubt yourself, you are stronger than you think so approach it with no fear!!

squats 4 sets, reps vary
bandwork/body weight lunges till burn out
sumo dumbbell squats, 10 reps, 4 sets
Lunges, 5 reps each leg, 4 sets
Hack squat machine, 10 reps, 4 sets
Leg extension quad machine, 8-10 reps, 4 sets
Hip abductor machine, 15 reps, 4-5 sets
Cable pull-throughs, 15 reps, 4-5 sets
