Street Pianos
What would happen if a city placed pianos in random public places? This short film covers just that.
In January 2014, the Arts Centre Melbourne brought the internationally touring art project by British Artist Luke Jerram to Melbourne.
There pianos are available for any member of the public to play and enjoy. They have brought out the inner musician in many a passing-by Melburnian in the middle of the Southern Summer. There is absolutely nothing serious about it, and is a way for complete strangers to engage with one another over a common interest.
You'd be surprised at how common it is to engage an audience.
