Screaming Driver Racks Up Almost 20 CHARGES

On the night of October 27, 2022, two people were nearly struck when a 2004 Merecedes sped out of a Delta gas station in Scotch Plains, New Jersey. Police were contacted, and able to locate the vehicle after it drove over a curb, causing its bumper and tailpipe to fall off. Officers pursued the car down the road for a few minutes before it came to a stop in front of a LifeStorage. The driver was removed from the car and arrested, screaming at the top of her lungs about not having done anything wrong and being an armed security guard, and adamantly declaring that she is not a “trespassenger”(?). Her speech was clearly slurred and at times incoherent, and she seemed generally confused about what she’d done and where her bumper went. She continued to freak out, yell, spit and be generally belligerent and difficult for the next three hours while she was arrested, proceeded at the station, then taken to a Trinitas Regional Medical Center.

She was transported to Union County jail the following morning requested to appear in court to answer for a staggering list of offenses, including careless driving, reckless driving, no liability insurance, improper passing, failure to have an inspection, failure to signal properly, disregarding a stop sign, a safety glass violation, traffic on marked lines, unsafe lane change, leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage, resisting arrest, aggravated assault on emergency personnel, two counts of aggravated assault on a police officer, and driving under the influence.
