Planar deploying objects at equal distances

Pink 2D sliders with attached effectors (not shown) are deployed in the horizontal plane.
The brown motor controls deployment in the X direction via a timing belt drive, brown slider and scissor mechanisms.
The green motor controls deployment in the Y direction via a timing belt drive, green slider and scissor mechanisms.
The scissor mechanism ensures equal spacing between adjacent 2D sliders in the X or Y direction.
