Meet the pilot who attacked GOVERNOR’S HOUSE | 1971 INDO-PAKISTAN WAR | Air Marshal Harish Masand VrC VM

Hi Good Morning friends,

When we talk about a soldier’s sacrifice, it can mean a lot including the loss of life and its real value can only be understood by those who face such a situation. This presentation is about a family wherein all the three sons took active part during the 1971 war. The eldest son of Masand family was an AN-32 pilot, the second son was a Hawker Hunter pilot and the youngest lost his life as Lieutenant while fighting for the Indian Army.

Fg Offr Harish Masand as Hunter pilot attacked Governor’s house, Dhaka on the 14th Dec apart from shooting down a Pakistani Sabre jet on the 4th Dec 1971. The Veer Chakra awardee, Fg Offr went on to become an Air Marshal who is also the most popular MiG29 pilot of the Indian Air Force.

So friends, today you are going to hear Air Marshal Harish Masand who will share about those glorious moments which he saw during the 1971 war.

Jai Hind !
