Boeing C-17 GLOBEMASTER Heavy Transport Aircraft

The massive, sturdy, long-haul aircraft tackles distance, destination and heavy, oversized payloads in unpredictable conditions. Aircraft has delivered cargo in worldwide operations since 1990s. It is operated by 9 countries.
With short take-off and landing capabilities, aircraft can take off from a 7,600 feet airfield, carry a payload of 160,000 pounds, fly 2,400 nautical miles, refuel while in flight and land in 3,000 feet or less on a small unpaved or paved airfield in day or night. The aircraft can also turn around on narrow runways using a three-point star turn and its reverse capability.

The C-17 is a premier transporter for military, humanitarian and peacekeeping missions. The Indian Air Force has also acquired 10 Boeing C-17 Globemaster III air-lifters.
