Queensland's fast population growth sparks concerns

Queensland's rapid population growth is raising concerns the state will struggle to keep up.

The Sunshine State welcomed an extra 134,000 people in the past year.

Queensland's population has increased by almost five per cent over the past two years.

Since March 2023, Queensland has led the nation in interstate migration.

Researchers at Griffith University have warned the state could struggle to keep pace with the current growth rate.
