RAM Upgrade Tutorial: Late 2009 – Mid 2010 Unibody MacBook — Wind5387

This is my first Hardware Tutorials video, and here, I will show you how to remove and install the RAM in a late 2009 and mid 2010 MacBook. These are the white unibody MacBooks, model number A1342.

The maximum amount of RAM is different depending on if your unibody Macbook is a late 2009 or mid 2010. If you need help finding what year your MacBook is, click on the  in the Menu bar. Then, click "About this Mac."

If, in the window, it says "2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo," then your MacBook is a late 2009. If it says, "2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo," you have a mid 2010 MacBook. For more ways to distinguish your MacBook from a 2009 or 2010, click the link below to Apple's website, which gives you descriptions of each MacBook.
