I'm binge-watching various British mystery series. It's amazing how many English clergy find time to solve murders.

I'm enjoying the ongoing gay storyline on GRANTCHESTER, a series set in 1950s Cambridgeshire. Leo, a regular supporting character, is a gay Anglican curate. In earlier seasons, he struggled to accept his sexuality, and now we find him returning from a vacation with his secret boyfriend, a photographer. The show takes place a decade before England decriminalized male homosexuality.

These clips are from the 5th-season premiere, which aired this week in the U.S. on PBS, five months after airing on Britain's ITV.
