I'm now a bit over 6 weeks post-surgery and my recovery has been going really well! The beginning was a little rough and a little gross so if you're sensitive to blood and just general kind of ick then you might want to skip to after around 7 minutes. I had my rhinoplasty done by Dr. Christopher Chang at Congressional Plastic Surgery in Tysons, VA. He was really great and I'm very happy with my nose! Towards the end of this video Dr. Chang also describes what the procedure for a preservation rhinoplasty is which is super interesting! If you're thinking about getting rhinoplasty or you're just curious check out the time stamps. Some things that I think made recovery a little easier - I ate tons and tons of pineapple before and after the surgery to help with the bruising, drank a lot of water constantly, and pre-made a batch of congee to eat the first week after surgery when all I could eat was mush.
