Making a Corset Cover for a Victorian Alice in Wonderland Cosplay | Hannah Alexander Cos Sewing Vlog
Corset covers are like... medium important for concealing the ridges created by the edges and hardware of corset from showing through in the outer garment so that's what I made this week! It was very hard to find exactly what I wanted from my corset cover represented in extant garments available on the internet so I kind of made parts of it up. This is the fifth video in my Hannah Alexander Alice in Wonderland cosplay series and I'm taking my research and inspiration from the mid-Victorian 1860's since that's when Alice in Wonderland was published and the time period that most matches Hannah's design.
In this video I show some patterning and talk about how I make a facing pattern and sew some lace and buttons. It's a pretty straightforward project.
