13900K/KS Per Core Overclocking Guide on LN2 - EVGA Z790 DARK KINGPIN

As you can overclock individual cores separately on these latest generation CPUs, and very often the quality can differ heavily. It can be worthwhile to find out the best individual cores on your 13900K, KF or KS if you want to max out the CPU on some lighter single thread tests like Super PI, 3DMark01 to 05.

With the Per Core function binning the individual cores is much faster than selecting them one by one from the BIOS as every single time you change the core in the BIOS you have to do a hard reset, and that means warming back up to the cold boot bug temperature, aka the point where the system can turn on again. You only have to disable the Atom Cores and Hyper Threading inside the BIOS and you can overclock each core separately with the Eleet X1 software inside the operating system. Once you find the best performing cores just mark them down and then only enable them inside the BIOS for your record attempt.

I generally use Super PI 1M for this as it is a very quick way of sorting the cores. If a single core fails Super PI 1M at just 7.9 then it generally means it will not run let's say 3DMark 03 stable at 8.1 so you can just move on to the next one.
