Join me as I venture into the hovel. Cleaning Cleaver's house is a lot of work, but it's worth it!

Tips:
-Clean during the hamster's awake period
-Lock all other pets in another room
-Don't wash toys the same week
-Save about a quarter of the used bedding and add to the new bedding
-Compost the bedding, sand, soil, and other used items
-Give your hamster time to adjust to the new changes
-Don't clean too often. With a cage this size a full cleaning every 3-6 months should be enough. I cleaned my 20gL breeder tank about every 2-3 months.
(Any cage smaller than that should be upgraded ASAP before any full cleaning is needed. Please properly house your hamster! Check free lists and sales for affordable hamster housing before you buy a hamster.)
