An early morning waking up with the elephants, and sweet moments with Sebakwe & Setombe

Adine and Reply are wide awake before the herd, as is Khanyisa and her roommates, Lammie and Nungu as the gang start a new day at the orphanage. Adine gives us an early morning view of the elephants sleeping and rising, with Jabulani, Lundi and Mambo stirring, as well as Kumbura, and slowly Tokwe and Pisa. As the sun starts to rise, Khanyisa is very curious about what reply is up to in her nursery and can't decide whether to stay outside or inside.

She gives us a precious view trying to get over the closed door to the nursery, before she manages cleverly to open it and glide on in. She heads outside soon enough with Lammie and Nungu to enjoy some green grazing, and Pisa and Timisa come over to greet her across the fencing.

Adine then heads out with all the carers and the herd for a day's walk. Lundi stays close to Khanyisa, along with Timisa, on this early and overcast morning, and Adine has some close and dear moments with Zindoga, his mother Bubi, Setombe and her daughter Klaserie, and then the most humourous of all, close friends, Sebakwe and Setombe, who enjoy a mutual scratch against the tree stump and boulder beside the waterhole. It is a beautiful sight to see the two biggest and oldest elephants in the herd bonding as always and so content in one another's company.
