Three Position Isometric Pull-up Holds

WANT TO PROGRESS TOWARDS YOUR FIRST UNASSISTED PULL-UP?!

In this video strength coach @kieferlammi goes over an exercise you can use to help get you to your first unassisted pull-up.

Isometric holds are a great way to build strength at specific positions of a pull-up that might still be too challenging to actually pull through.

In this case we're performing a hold at 3 positions:
1️⃣The upper third - between 90 degrees and the top of the pull-up
2️⃣The middle - at about 90 degrees of elbow flexion
3️⃣The bottom third - between 90 degrees and the bottom of the pull-up

These are a slightly more advanced option that work well after you've begun your progress with eccentrics, isometrics at the top, and band assisted pull-ups.

Good luck with your pull-up progress!
