Happy new year from the Lake District

Admittedly, this vlog should have been released months ago, but I decided to release the Norway and Iceland vlogs before this one, as i wanted to break my channel up a little bit.

Anyway, as always, we had a fantastic time in the Lake District over christmas. The weather was very changeable with snow, heavy rain, strong winds, sunshine and cloud, but Hey, that's the Lakes for you.

The van is super warm and comfortable which makes the rainy days a lot more fun. We did however make a few hikes to Levers water and Low water (a separate vlog) but due the the strong winds and snow we mainly kept to low grounds and that certainly didn't disappoint. Lake coniston was fantastic to photograph, especially in the snow and the black and white photo's that we came away with were some of my favorites from the trip.

As much as I love my Canon 5D, it felt great to only go out with the small point and shoot G7X and also the M6. I only left the 5D behind as I didn't want to open camera bag in the heavy falling snow, but it felt so nice to unburden my back and stay more mobile with the smaller cameras.

I'm already looking forward to the next trip.
