Ladybower and the cows - Landscape photography
We had a great weekend in Derbyshire with friends celebrating our 28th Wedding anniversary, but while everyone slept I could't resist getting out and shooting at sunrise.
My 1st trip was to Ladybower reservoir, even though I thought the via duct was at Derwent reservoir. When I arrived the bridge was totally obscured by the fog, but that wasn't the only reason why I didn't stay. There were 3 guys camping on the side of the reservoir, rocking a large fire, drinking hard and jumping in the water. I waited for a while but decided to drive to the plug hole and grab an image there even though the water level was low.
I did however return to the Viaduct around 6am and grabbed the shot that I was after, plus I also managed a bonus shot of the sun peaking over the tops of the trees whilst it was still misty.
On the Sunday I ventured down to the woods at the bottom of the farm to try my hand at woodland photography. To get there I had to walk through the cows field and I'm always quite nervous as they have chased me before. Tim, my friend and farmer, said they probably thought I had feed, but I wasn't hanging around to explain to them that I didn't!
The field was void of cows and I felt quite safe once I reached the woods, but unbeknown to me, they were now free to roam the woods as will as the fields.
They took me completely be surprise and they just appeared from nowhere and as you may have seen in the video, I was very nervous.
Anyway, apart from the low water level, the drunken lads and being surrounded by 100 tonne of beef, it was a fantastic weekend.
Thank you ever so much for watching and until the next one,
See ya.
